1.) This is a high quality, made in the USA, Starrett Bandsaw blade welded to 12ft 6 inches.

3.) I would recommend this band for cutting thin wood or soft metals such as aluminum and brass. Mild steel can be cut if using a proper metal cutting fluid and slow band speed on a metal saw.
